The Wildlife Lake is located near the entrance to Sandyholme Holiday Park. A large fenced-in pond with many different types of ducks and geese – it’s a bird watchers haven. During the spring and summer months it’s a wonderful area to bring the children, have a picnic and watch the eggs hatching and chicks waddling around after their mothers, a truly memorable experience for all the family.
Children’s Play Area
The children’s play area is located near the Wildlife Lake. It’s a great, safe space for the kids to let off steam and climb the wooden tower, with swings and a slide. The play area is layered with soft play bark and is checked daily by maintenance staff. Please ensure your child is always supervised by an adult. Just the other side of the Play Area, is a playing field with football goals.
The onsite little shop is stocked to the brim with local goods and the important daily necessities, like bread, milk, eggs and alcohol. There is a selection for camping and touring with the small bits you might have left at home and a gas cylinder exchange service.
There is a Games Room and Patio at Sandyholme with a TV, Pool Table and outdoor Table Tennis Table.
There is plenty to do in the area surrounding Sandyholme. There are miles of lanes and footpaths, perfect for walking and cycling by the many rivers that flow through the area. Just 7 miles away at Lulworth Cove there are many watersport activities to do, such as kayaking coasteering and stand-up paddleboarding. Also just 7 miles from the park are 2 of the biggest and most popular attractions in Dorset – Monkey World and The Tank Museum. The park is also within driving distance of Splashdown in Poole and other attractions, places to eat, shopping and events in Bournemouth and Weymouth.
