New for 2017, our ‘Lotus Stargazer’ Belle Tents are the first of their kind with a clear roof allowing you to make the most of the amazing night skies we get in Dorset. Sleeping up to 4 people, the tents are spacious and cosy with a double bed and two single camp beds. The bell tents will already be set up for you and they have a strong waterproof lining to keep you warm and dry. There is plenty of headroom inside the tent, plug sockets for charging phones and an outdoor picnic bench for alfresco dining. The tents are 5 metres in diameter and very spacious inside.
The Stargazer Bell Tent and Safari Tent at Sandyholme have a prime location on the park, in the centre of the Park close to the Shower and Toilet Block and the Park Reception. The Wildlife Lake, Children’s Play Area and small Playing Field are also very nearby. These Bell Tents are great for holidays with family, friends or romantic breaks with someone special, and particularly good for anyone interested in stargazing. As shown in the pictures below of the prototype tent, there will be a clear PVC roof on the tent that will allow for stargazing on clear nights. Dorset is one of the best areas in the UK to view the night sky and the milky way. Visit our stargazing tips page for more information. The Park is surrounded by flat countryside, rivers and trails and is just a few miles from some great attractions and landmarks, such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth, Dorchester, MonkeyWorld and The Tank Museum.
There is a large picnic bench outside to enjoy the great outdoors and parking is available next to the Glamping area. Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs in the Bell Tents, Safari Tents or Camping Pods. BBQ’s are permitted on the grass area outside and we supply bricks for the BBQ’s to be placed on.
